The key to determining the battery life of industrial vehicles
Industrial vehicle batteries are often overlooked as an accessory in the operation of industrial vehicles. Proper maintenance of the battery to maintain adequate power is an important part of car maintenance. The following will introduce the knowledge and maintenance knowledge of industrial vehicle batteries to help you better understand the use and maintenance of batteries and extend the life of batteries.
The key to determining the battery life of industrial vehicles
It is understood that the phenomenon of electrolyte reduction occurs during the use of traditional batteries. This is because the grid of the plates is made of lead-bismuth alloy, which is used to contaminate the sponge-like pure lead on the negative plate, which weakens the battery after charging. The back electromotive force inside causes excessive decomposition of water, and a large amount of oxygen and hydrogen escape from the positive and negative plates, respectively, and the electrolyte is reduced.
The maintenance-free battery is identical in design principle to the conventional battery, and uses a thicker plate material. The important difference is that the grid of the plate is made of lead-calcium alloy. In the electrolysis reaction process, the overcharge current can be reduced, the liquid vaporization speed can be reduced, thereby reducing the electrolyte loss and prolonging the service life of the battery.
In addition, during the discharge process, lead dioxide, sponge lead and sulfuric acid in the electrolyte react with a chemical reaction to produce lead sulfate and water. The difference between the positive and negative plates is reduced because the voltage of the battery depends on The difference in the material of the plates and the concentration of the electrolyte, so after the discharge reaction, the battery loses energy. The charging process is the opposite of the discharging process. Under the action of generator current, lead sulfate and water are converted into lead dioxide, sponge lead and sulfuric acid, and the concentration of electrolyte and electrolyte is restored, and the energy of the battery is increased.
